I can’t believe we are four months into 2015 already. Time flies when you’re having fun meeting new clients, getting the books done for existing clients and working with a great team. I love my team at Brigade Bookkeeping and we know our clients do too! This month, our employee spotlight highlights one of the newest repeat members of our team, Accounting Assistant Rosa Batista.
This isn’t Rosa’s first time at Brigade Bookkeeping. Some of you might remember her as an accounting intern. Rosa spent a year with us while studying for her Bachelor’s Degree at Florida International University (FIU).
After that, Rosa left to take on a 10-week audit internship with Deloitte & Touche. While there, she specialized in the banking and healthcare industries. “I faced so many challenges during my second internship, but took on every one of them head on, thanks to the skills I developed at Brigade Bookkeeping” said Rosa.
Rosa graduated from FIU with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting. She did so well at Deloitte & Touche, the company offered her a full-time job once she’s completed her masters degree and CPA certification. Currently, she is working on both at FIU and is scheduled to graduate in May 2016. In the meantime, we are thankful to have Rosa back!
Rosa is originally from Brooklyn, New York, but moved to South Florida as a young girl. She loves it here! When she’s not working or studying, Rosa enjoys spending time outdoors with her friends, and spending Sundays relaxing with her family.
